Here's a  couple of tips to start your own clay handprint business.

Having fun taking clay handprints of moms.
Start with people who you know and those you have lost touch with.  Don't forget how many people you know and how many connections you have made from your family and friends.  Let everyone know about this children's clay handprint business that you are starting.  Ask all of these people to help you get the word out.  Target the type of people that will be helpful in getting you future business.  i.e.  moms, parents, families, etc. Get back in touch with all those that you knew in college, sports, and your old neighborhood.  You never know what connections you might make from people you already know.

Become a volunteer in your community.  Even if you have enough to do already, volunteering is one of the best ways to meet people that can be helpful to you for your business especially with like minded people.  Even if you only volunteer once a month it is good to be part of your community.  Be sure that the group has a good number of people that would be beneficial for you to be connected and network with.  Remember to follow through with your commitments.  Helping others will always come back to you ten fold.
